Comet Candidate 6AC4721 could be a Great Comet!

 

How would you like to possibly look up into the sky later this year and see  this both at night AND during the day? This is Comet C/1965 S1 Ikeya-Seki which is a Kreutz Family comet and was discovered on September 18th, 1965. Well, we MAY and that is key, MAY have an opportunity for the same in 2026! Comet Candidate 6AC4721 is 2 AU or 186 million miles from the Sun and is coming from the same direction that Kreutz Family come from and is 144 degrees from the plane of the Solar System, which is common for Kreutz family comets. No Kreutz family comet has been discovered that far out so IF it is confirmed and IF it survives it's encounter on April 5th, 2026 with the Sun, we may, again MAY have a Great Comet in 2026 to observe!
