Building an Interest

 I shared about my granddaughter Eevee. We spent part of Monday night together as she learned a couple of things with her PaPa. She loves to do "art" with Papa and this night after learning some things related to our beliefs, we learned more about the planets and stars. She share what she learned she did it visually with art.  

We learned about the planets in our solar system and stars. Eevee drew the earth, Jupiter, the Sun, the Moon and a blue giant star.  She also drew a blue nebula and a red dwarf star (with the three lines). 

Here you can see her interpretation of Saturn, Jupiter with many red spots (she said they divided and made more) and Uranus.  I had a great time teaching and listening to a five year old's interpretation of what she had learned, even some things she thought up from that. She was inquiring and that is wonderful! 

Anyway, I think it goes to show that we can impact the younger generation about getting interested in the sciences and astronomy.
