I had a beautiful sunset at home tonight as shown from my back deck looking at the Oquirrh Mountains in the background. However, as beautiful as the clouds were, it meant with the moon rising at 9:30 pm tonight, I wasn't going to head out. My granddaughter has her first piano recital tonight also and her "Papa" had to be there according to her (and yes, I did !).
So what did I do tonight and last week? Well, I got out my observations and sketchbooks that record them and began entering my observations. Head over to EadsyAstronomy for a look and for some blank master copies of Google Sheets for the Herschel 400, the Abell Planetaries and the Hickson Galaxy groups that you can use to record your observations if you wish.
