Well, I did a post on double stars and the joy of observing them. So for this week's astronomer of the week I picked Friedrich Georg Wilhelm von Struve who did extensive work on double stars during his lifetime. He left a huge legacy on true binary double stars and created a family legacy where over 5 generations were famous astronomers, cultimating in his great grandson Otto Struve, one of the greatest astronomers of the 20th century!
